CTTP Summer Classic

Great Amusement and Michelob Golden Light Have BIG Prizes in Store For Those Who Are Right On The Mark!

Closest-to-the-pin is the ultimate equalizer. No putting, chipping, or worries about bogeying – CTTP is all about getting it in or around the pin.

CTTPThe people at Great Amusement and Michelob Golden Light certainly recognize this and are making the warm summer months all about pin seeking thanks to the CTTP Summer Classic.

The CTTP Summer Classic is a live closest-to-the-pin contest that will take place between July 11th and September 19th in South Dakota. Up for grabs are golf packages, golf gear including a Taylor Made Superfast Burner Driver, sweet Budweiser/Michelob Golden Light merchandise, and more – all for showing up and testing your skills against other CTTP hopefuls.

The action starts on July 11th with the first of six qualifying events. While all 6 of the qualifying events will determine who moves onto the quarterfinals and beyond, there are still BIG prizes up for grabs each and every night for the winner of these feeder events.

Each player that hits a hole-in-one at any of the qualifying events will automatically guaranteed a spot in the August 29th quarterfinals. This is on top of the four players who will move onto the quarterfinals at each live event. For those of you interested and looking to get in on the action, here's the CTTP Summer Classic schedule.

Quick run down on qualifying:

  1. There will be one closest to the pin (hereafter known as CTTP) qualifier every half hour.  The person with the lowest measurement to the hole at the end of the half hour will qualify for the end of the night tournament and also be entered into the quarterfinals.  IF anyone gets a hole-in-one during the half hour, they automatically qualify for the end of the night tournament and are also entered into the quarterfinals, they do not however knock out the person with the lowest measurement.  For example, Sarah is closest with 2.73 feet, James hits a hole in one on the next turn, he automatically qualifies for the end of the night tournament AND the quarter finals.  At the end of that half hour, if no one has gotten closer than 2.73 feet (not counting hole in ones) then Sarah will also qualify for both events.
  2. The 1st 6 weeks are for qualifying for the quarter finals.  You MUST qualify for the quarter finals in order to advance to the semi-finals.  You MUST come to the quarter finals in order to try and qualify for the semi's.  The format used for the quarter finals will differ from that of the qualifying rounds as there will not be half hour qualifiers, but a tournament type format to determine who qualifies for the semi's.
